Until you’ve actually had a wedding stationery design created, you probably don’t know what is involved. Firstly, you need to decide on a theme or design. Once you’ve found some ideas and styles you like we can either create a bespoke design from scratch or customise one of our house designs for you. Pinterest is a good starting point to gather ideas.
Bespoke stationery takes longer to reach the final draft as there is lots of to-ing and fro-ing as we finalise the design, confirm materials, colours and wording etc. and this is just for Save the Dates and Invites, not to mention any extra things for on-the-day, such as your Order of Services, Table Plan, Place Cards, Table Numbers and any other special items you may require. It may take 2-3 days of work just for a first draft. Then there are many extra hours required to refine and amend the design, choose print fonts, layouts, and extra information sheets etc.
Remember it’s all about allocating your budget how YOU want to. If stationery isn’t important to you, then go digital with a wedding website, but please don’t ask us to create something totally bespoke and then expect to pay peanuts for it. Quality is worth paying for! Remember the well- known saying ‘you get what you pay for?’ Well the same goes for stationery! Whilst it might seem expensive, you are paying for years’ worth of knowledge and skill from someone who loves crafting and designing stationery and wants to genuinely create something beautiful for you. At Wedding Stationery Direct we endeavour to offer a quality service, with quality materials at a reasonable price as we understand the various costs required for a wedding. We also strongly advise that you consider all the items of stationery you want so we can order all the materials at the same time – this ensures colour matching for any paper or card and also in the long run it will save you money as any discounts we receive for larger orders will be taken into account in our quotations. We aim to be as fair as possible with our clients.
