Frequently Asked Questions

Please read our FAQ before sending us a message.

Can we meet you in person?

Yes, I would be delighted to meet you. I prefer to meet customers in person as it is easier to discuss your requirements and show you how we can alter any design to suit your need.

Are consultations free of charge?

Yes, but if an order does not follow and we feel we have been used for ideas and advice we may send out an invoice and charge our time at £30.00 per hour. This is to keep time wasters to minimum as our time is precious and we prefer to give our time to genuine customers.

Do you have a catalogue or brochure?

We currently don’t have a printed catalogue, as we are constantly working on new products and designs. Details of all our ranges can be found on our website. If you would like any further details, just contact us.

How much do your invitations and stationery items cost?

We believe that every order is personal and unique and, therefore, prefer to meet clients to discuss their personal requirements and provide person quotations. All quotations will be valid for 30 days. If you feel that the prices given are a little high please contact us again and we will do our utmost to assist you, but please remember that as each item is individually made a lot of time is given to each order.

Can I change a design or suggest a design that I like?

Certainly. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss your ideas or any changes that you would like on a particular design. There is no extra charge for this.

Can you match colours from a swatch I can give you?

We are more than happy to do our best to match card & ribbon etc. to a colour swatch you have, be it a fabric swatch, paint chart, etc.

Do you do custom orders?

Yes, we believe that every couple and every wedding is individual so we treat each order as a custom order. All the designs shown on our website can be mixed and matched to suit your own personal requirements or we are happy to include any of your own ideas. We can change the embellishments used, colours of ribbons and some of the patterned and embossed papers we use come in a variety of colours and/or designs. We have tried to show a variety of items we can use but unfortunately we cannot show all that we have available so if you have something specific in mind please contact us.I would be delighted to meet you and discuss your requirements.

Is it possible to order a sample?

We are happy to provide samples of our handmade wedding invitations to help you choose your wedding stationery. Please do not order samples of any other stationery item (i.e. Order of Service, Menu, etc). Due to the high degree of hand finishing we request that you contribute £3.95 including post and packaging towards the cost of each sample. Samples are limited to a maximum of three designs. To order your samples please use our ‘contact us’ page and leave details of the design sample(s) you wish to order. Please allow up to 7 working days for delivery.

How do I place an order?

If you wish to place an order direct off the website, we just need you to email us via the ‘contact us’ page outlining a few details -
1. Your wedding date.
2. The design you would like to order.
3. The approximate quantities of each item you would like to order.
4. When you require your order by.
Once we receive your enquiry we will contact you to discuss your requirements further and then provide you with a quotation.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes. Our minimum order quantity is 20 for save the date; wedding invitations; evening invitations; order of service & place cards. Table numbers & menus are by negotiation if ordered separately.

When should we place an order?

Traditionally save the dates would be sent out 12-18 months before and invitations would be sent out approximately 4-6 months before your wedding day. However, it is worth thinking about your reply by date and speaking to your caterers in case they need your guest’s food choices/numbers by a certain date.

How many invitations should we order?

I recommend you send one invitation per household. It is worth ordering a few extra invitations as spares, just in case you have forgotten anyone, or for any extra guests you may wish to add to your list when/if some guests cannot attend. You may also want to keep one as a keepsake.

Should we include guests’ children’s names on the invitation?

If you are inviting children to your wedding, you should include their names on their parents’ invitations. Parents should assume that the invitation is for them alone if their children’s names are not listed. If you are not inviting children, it would be polite to make this clear. A short line can be included at the bottom (or a short note on an additional information sheet) stating this. It is also advisable to let parents know in advance if you have made special arrangements for the entertainment of their children.

Can we have our guests’ names printed on invitations?

Yes. There is a minimal charge for this as each invitation has to be printed individually so therefore takes more time. All names should be supplied in a word document and be typed as you wish them to be printed. Spellings should be checked carefully before submitting the list to me as it is your responsibility to check for any spelling errors.

Are envelopes provided with wedding invitations?

Envelopes are provided with all stationery items (where appropriate) and will match the colour of the base card (i.e. white, ivory or cream). Coloured envelopes may be provided at an additional cost.
